Michele Tuegel has a long history as an artist (papermaker) and arts administrator who has always loved color and design. In 2012 she launched Fang-shooeys, a collection of portfolio bags, with collaborator-friend Diane Arthur. The bags' fabrics are combined from a variety of sources, and selected for their color, pattern, and curiosity. Originally designed to tote artist supplies and small canvases, Michele and Diane realized their function appeals to everyone!
Michele's Tampa Bay adventures began in 1986, in Clearwater. Two years later she and her husband moved to Tierra Verde, where they built their home. She now lives in St. Petersburg. What she loves most about Tampa Bay are its "creative class, culture and tropical-casualness," Michele says.
